Scarabs were a highly revered symbol of regeneration, rebirth, and resurrection in ancient Egypt; featured heavily in hieroglyphs, jewellery, and ceremonial tools. The use of their image continues to be a popular in modern art, tattoos, and artifacts.

This is my take on the sacred scarab.
