If you know, you know. In a time of extreme polarity, inequity, strong opinions, and strife, the creation of art feels like an act of rebellion. There’s far more noble ways of spending one’s time than to make an object that serves only to be looked at… and yet I must honour the calling to create.

This labour of love was carved from an urban Basswood tree cut down by a local arborist, milled and dried just outside of Winnipeg.
