Introduction to Woodworking | 5 Sessions
This workshop is designed for beginners who want real experience with woodworking tools, materials, and techniques in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Over five 3-hour sessions, you’ll learn how to safely use essential woodworking tools and machines while building your own Little Free Library from start to finish.The Little Free Library is the project. The newfound confidence & competence working with your hands is the real take away.
You’ll gain experience with:
Circular saw
Table saw
Miter saw
Nail gun
Drill
Tape measure
Speed square
Along the way, you’ll learn foundational woodworking concepts including measuring accurately, making clean cuts, assembling structures, understanding basic construction workflow, and working safely with tools and machinery.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with:
A completed Little Free Library
Greater confidence using woodworking tools
A stronger understanding of how to approach future projects independently
Practical skills that transfer to home projects, art fabrication, and more
No previous woodworking experience is required.
This is a process-focused workshop intended to make woodworking feel approachable, understandable, and empowering.
*All materials for basic build included. Option at the end to upgrade with an additional session for add on decorative elements.
