“The seduction of sharp tools is what initially drew me to carving. I love the reductive action of bringing something beautiful out of a block of wood. Many of my pieces take an incredible amount of time to create both in form and concept. This process allows me the ability to transmute my feelings, some of them unexplored in other ways, into works of art. I am eternally appreciative of the work I do and the ability to share it with others.”
Recent Work
My current work is focused on creature carvings and masks. I bring my love of painting into pieces, add gilded details and have enthusiasm for experimenting with more mediums to embellish my work in the future. I will keep expanding my skill set to continue levelling up my work every year.
